Jemima asks…
Has anyone here ever used a aspirin face mask?
Has anyone here ever used a aspirin face mask? How did it work for you? Also is it okay to use my benzoyl peroxide acne gel after using the mask? Or will it be too harsh for my skin?
Ben answers:
Well, even though I have mildly oily skin, it kind of dried my cheeks out, a little, and a bit on my chin.
My nose is where I get most problem zits, and it actually made them shrink in size, and the redness went down a little. Which made them hurt a lot less, too.
Just be careful around sensitive areas like cheeks and chin, and maybe your forehead.
Oh, right. If you have sensitive skin, don’t do the peroxide thing.
Plus, the aspirin will soak up enough of the oils, it won’t really be necessary.
Kirstie asks…
aspirin face mask? can the same be done with a multi vitamin?
know that people make masks out of acetaminophen and water, and a few other small ingredients, but is it possible to make a face mask out of a multi vitamin? has anyone done this? would the benefits be better? or how about mixing multi vitamin with aspirin?? would that be bad for skin ph?
Ben answers:
That is weird jess but i would think that people can do most anything, but why? What purpose? I don’t think that absorbing transdermal is better than per os.No one has done this per my knowledge base and i would not want to put acetysalicylic acid on my face unless it is to dissolve something?
Mandy asks…
What is the aspirin face mask?
i just saw this makeup tutorial on youtube that recommended using an aspirin face mask for clearer skin. i was wondering, is it referring to actual aspirin pain pills? and also, how do you make it or where can i buy it in a mask form? i’d also like to know how effective it is if you’ve used it in your own personal experiences.
Ben answers:
Yes it is talking about the pain pills, I personally haven’t tried it but this video shows you how to make it and use it:
The girls skin in the video looks pretty good so I’m assuming it works well, so I’d say give it a shot!
Nancy asks…
How the Aspirin face mask is prepared and for how long should be left on the skin?
Ben answers:
Hello, my friend (who has really bad acne) says that you just crush up a few and make it into a past with water and put it over your face and then just wait until it is dry, I think she said 10-15 minuets, she said it started to take away the redness of HER skin after a month, but I’m not sure how often she used it and like I said she has acne pretty bad.
Best of luck.
Lisa asks…
Does anyone know if i can use acetaminophen or ibuprofen instead of aspirin for the aspirin face mask?
Ben answers:
No, only aspirin works. Make sure you get the uncoated kind. I use the Walgreens brand and paid 99 cents for it. The aspirin really works. I love to mix honey with it to keep the mask from being too drying.
