Ben answers:
If you have oily skin you need more than just a foundation or powder to keep matte. You also need a good skincare routine and a primer. I have extremely oily skin and this works the best for me (skincare, primer, foundation, powder):
Face cleansers: Alba Botanica Pineapple Enzyme Cleanser, Desert Essence thoroughly clean face wash or Jurlique Purifying Cleansing Lotion.
Alba Botanica Pineapple Enzyme scrub, Jurlique Daily Exfoliating cream or Dermologica daily microfoliant for daily exfolations. They are gentle enough for daily use.
Every third day or fourth day, I switch to St Ives blemish control scrub which is amazing but too harsh to use daily.
Next I use witch hazel as a toner. It removes whatever excess oil/bacteria that may be trapped in pores as well as tightens them. It isn’t over drying and is known to help prevent/treat acne.
For moisturizers: (you need to moisturize even oily skin, whoever says otherwise is clueless.)
Pure Jojoba oil. It balances my skin out, tricking into producing less oil while leaving me appropriately moisturized. It also reduces redness, treats acne/prevents blackheads, helps to fade scars. I use Jason Naturals or Desert Essences.
I only use it at night after cleaning , mask etc. Just get a few drops and rub between fingers, pat into face and wait for it to absorb. It does so pretty quickly.
Once or twice a week only at night as well, I use MSM Lotion Orange Ylang Ylang for nightly moisturizer. It balances oily skin but also restores life to it, to prevent or get rid of dullness, puffyness, prevents wrinkles.
In the morning, I use Desert Essence Thoroughly Clean Oil control Lotion. It’s a moisturizer for oily skin and also very balancing, matifying without over drying, completely natural and cruelty free.
Also love Jurlique Clarifying Day Care lotion for morning moisturizer. Again very balancing, matifying while refreshing skin, not over drying.
After the morning moisturizer absorbs, I apply plain milk of magnesia to entire face in place of traditional primer with makeup sponge. I allow it to dry and smooth out white spots I may see. They disappear and I’m ready for primer, makeup and whatever comes after it. This sounds crazy but its a matifying miracle.
(twice a week at most to prevent overdrying, i use face masks. My favorite are st ives timeless mineral clay firming mask, derma topix mint clay, jurlique purifying mask or decleor instant purifying mask. They help tighten pores, treat/prevent acne, and tame oil control)
After milk of magnesia in morning, any OIL-FREE foundation with matte finish will do. Just make sure it’s oil-free. Many with oily skin make mistake of not choosing one like this and only end up making their skin oilier.
Last set any oil free foundation or oil free tinted moisturizer, oil free mineral veil or bb cream with Jurlique Citrus Silk finishing powder. It is my HG powder of all time and with this routine and a matte face makeup or without it will keep you matte all day with no need to touch up, no matter how hot/humid as long as you follow this routine and use the milk of magnesia.
If the milk of magnesia freaks you out btw, you can also use smashbox anti shine or skindinavia no more shine (this one as primer and also after foundation and/or powder to set)
Good luck this will work. I gave more options for somethings for you to choose from. I’d avoid brands like neutrogena or clinique. They do absolutely nothing for oily or acne prone skin and sometimes make it worse. I don’t know how they get away with marketing themselves as brands who help treat it/keep it under control.

How to get rid of acne.?
i have oily skin. my acne brings my self confidence down. im not too worried about my forehead acne but around my nose area and chin, its redd. also, sometimes, the pimple comes out and it leaves a hole. will the hole close up? i need to know how to get rid of my acne or at least how to get rid of the redness. if i just touch it ; not even scratching or rubbing it;; if i touch it, it turns all redd.
what do i do ?
OH also, i use shiseido BB Cream to cover the redness and i like it because it makes my skin look white.
i also wash my facce with shiseido face wasshh

This has honestly helped me out ALOT! Many people might not agree but it has worked for me since i have oily skin as well
i wash my face everynight with Clean&Clear facewash….. Then i PAT my face dry, do not rub!
Then i apply a very small amount of alcohol ONLY where there’s the acne problem. This will dry up
the acne, will NOT leave scars, AND it will be gone in 3 days! I suggest you try it out

What’s the Best BB Cream?
i’m looking into buying “missha perfect cover bb cream” in shade #23 off of ebay.
i’m buying from either bello-girl or rubyruby 76.
i have mild acne and a little bit of an oily t-zone. i have some scars and some facial redness. i also have slightly large pores, moderate shadows around my nose, mouth, and under my eyes.
i just want to know if this product will be okay for me. my biggest overall concern is if it will break me out. i have heard about it’s mineral oil contents and i’m not too concerned about that because it’s non-comeodgenic anyways.
and are there any other ones out there that will suit my skin tone and my skin conditions? if you have used it, could you tell me about it?
any advice or help is always much appreciated.
Ben answers:
I have a lot of blemishes myself and it was a battle to find the perfect coverage.
This is my current makeup – I first apply Loreal Moisturizer for Dry Skin, then Missha #23 coverage. I use Maybelline Concealer Cover Stick in Beige under my eyes and nose, then apply Maybelline Dream Matte mineral powder to finish (then eyeliner, etc).
With that I get the best coverage. I’ve used a fair few BB creams and the bottled versions/pump of Missha BB works best. I advise against the Powder Foundation by Missha because it makes me look sick/lifeless and the smell isn’t nice.
The Missha BB cream helps moisturize and repair your skin as well as protect it from the sun. It is really great for repairing scars and facial pigmentation, and I find I have a lot less acne from wearing it daily.
I hope this helps, make sure to clean your face daily and after wearing makeup (Nivea face wipes for dry skin are great) to get rid of your acne. Three step Nivea Young is great too, I use that every night before bed.
Hope this helps, love.

Best Way To Get Rid Of Acne?
I have some acne, and low budget. I’m 13, I wear tons of make-up, dye my hair often and shit..
So, how can I get rid of acne and keep it away without reducing my make-up or hair dye? [It dosen’t run in th family..]
P.s. Its mostly on my forehead, my chest and back.. HELP!!
Ben answers:
I wish I knew..I’m going through it too. But there is makeup that helps with blemish.
It is called BB cream. BB cream stand for blemish balm cream. It’s pretty much magic foundation. It has SPF 30PA++ and it’s a inner and outer system healing cream. It will heal scar and blemish while covering it up.
Sound innovative right?
I’m not trying to sell you anything, its just something i found when I used to live in south korea.
You can buy it here~!
